Beachside
The Port Douglas village is nestled at the end of a peninsula with a natural harbour and marina on one side and the beautiful Four Mile Beach along the other, with the main street, Macrossan street, joining the two sides.
Whilst retaining a village look with most buildings not exceeding the height of palm trees, a stroll down Macrossan Street will reveal a vibrant mix of clothing boutiques, galleries, cafes, bars, and restaurants.
Nearby Wharf Street hosts the sunday markets showcasing local produce and artesans, and the marina from which all reef, sailing and fishing tours depart.
